Why?
Being that Scott Reese is the chief songwriter for
the Secret System, you may wonder why the need for
solo music.  It can be explained this way:  Imagine
that you have a container that can hold one cup of
water.  Then, imagine that you have two cups of
water.  You will only be able to pour one cup of
water into your container.  What do you do with the
rest?  Well this is the destination for the rest of
Scott's water.

The solo record - OBSOLETE
Some of this album was written during the period of
time before the release of the Secret System's debut
album.  "The Secret System" took very long to
complete for a variety of reasons, but that didn't
stop the songs from coming.  It wouldn't be fair to
exclude the influence of Brad Jacob on these songs.
While he didn't write them, his presence during the
process certainly had an impact on them.  So formal
thanks are in order on that front.  In an effort to
keep the songwriting fresh, members of the Secret
System decided to try to minimise the use of older
songs in favor of more current tunes.

Beyond the disk - Leftover and Over
In addition to the solo record, some music still
existed. One of these songs is an instrumental
entitled "The Champion's Theme" and it is sort of a
soundtrack type instrumental.  There is a cover
version of Aerosmith's "Dream On".  Some of these
songs appeared in early versions on the "Obsolete"
record such as "Do You Ever Wish" and "Don't Doubt".
Some are obscure like "Peace in the Middle East": a
song about alien visitation among other things.
"Dragons (Parts 1 & 2) were written in the spirit of
a childhood love of heroic fantasy.  A quick listen
to songs such as "Leave" and "Arm Yourself" will
prove that these songs aren't mere castoffs. Obscure
at points, yes.  But disposable, no.  These songs are
all available and free to download on Scott's music
page. If you have any comments or questions, you can
